Sophie Cundale is an artist and writer based in London currently working on her first novel, Half Life, a science fiction about a woman who falls in love with nuclear waste. Recent work has been presented with Barbican, Ginny on Frederick, The Perimeter, Somerset House, Castello Di Rivoli and Rose Easton. Previous work has been shown with Kapp Kapp Gallery, Philadelphia, Serpentine Galleries, Temporary Gallery, Cologne, Spike Island, Bristol, Govett-Brewster Gallery, New Zealand, Catalyst Arts, AMINI festival, Belfast, VCD festival, Beijing, Chisenhale Gallery, London and Innsbruck Biennale, Austria; and hosted on vdrome.org. Her first major solo show opened at South London Gallery in 2020, with a large scale film work commissioned by Film and Video Umbrella.
